A group of 60 Sedgefield Community College students recently returned from an extraordinary ski trip to Alpe d'Huez, France, led by Mr. Bennett. The trip was more than just a ski holiday; it was an opportunity for students to challenge themselves, forge lasting friendships, and experience the magic of winter sports in a breathtaking setting.

The students spent their days honing their skiing and snowboarding skills in ski school. Evenings were filled with fun and exciting activities, including ice-skating, swimming in an outdoor pool surrounded by snow, indoor climbing, mini golf, and even a disco night! Students also enjoyed a thrilling night watching an ice hockey match and a relaxing cinema evening.

The trip was a fantastic success. The students had an extraordinary time learning new skills, making memories that will last a lifetime, and all while developing their teamwork and resilience. This is exactly the kind of transformative experience we strive to create for all our students at Sedgefield Community College.

This trip embodies Sedgefield Community College's commitment to providing students with well-rounded educational and extraordinary experiences that extend far beyond the classroom. By offering opportunities like this ski trip, the school fosters pupils’ confidence, independence, and love for adventure. We are incredibly grateful to Mr. Bennett and all the other staff who provided exceptional support and supervision throughout the trip, ensuring a safe and unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
