The Tes Awards 2021 shortlist has been announced, with Sedgefield Community College, a member of Laidlaw Schools Trust, recognised as a finalist for ‘Secondary school of the year’ as well as three subject team awards.
Sedgefield Community College prides itself on inspirational education, with the schools’ English, Maths and Science teams all shortlisted as finalists for best team in their respective subjects. In addition to this the school has been shortlisted for ‘Secondary school of the year’ for the second year in a row.
The awards are a testament to the hard work and dedication of staff in the three departments, and the whole school, in ensuring that students achieve the best they can be, in all areas of their lives.

The winners will be announced at an online event on Friday 25 June at 8pm.
